Frequently Asked Questions

Can helmets prevent concussions?

Helmets significantly reduce the risk of skull fractures and severe head injuries, but they cannot fully prevent concussions. This is because concussions result from brain movement within the skull, not just direct impact.

Helmet design continues to improve, with newer models aiming to reduce rotational forces. While helpful, no helmet can eliminate concussion risk entirely.

Proper fit and consistent use are essential. Helmets should be viewed as one part of a broader injury prevention strategy rather than a complete solution.
