Frequently Asked Questions

What are physical symptoms?

Physical symptoms of concussion commonly include headache, dizziness, nausea, balance problems, fatigue, and visual disturbances. Headaches are the most frequently reported symptom and may vary in intensity and duration.

Other physical symptoms can include sensitivity to light or noise, ringing in the ears, and neck pain. These symptoms may worsen with physical exertion or prolonged screen use, particularly in the early stages of recovery.

Managing physical symptoms involves rest, hydration, sleep, and gradual activity progression. Persistent or severe physical symptoms should be evaluated to rule out complications or associated injuries, such as cervical spine strain.
